TRIBAL STATE OF EMERGENCY: OFFICE CLOSURES

The Big Pine Paiute Tribe declared a Tribal State of Emergency ten (10) days ago, on July 1, 2025. Since that time Tribal staff and consultants have continued to experience harassment, stalking and intimidated on and off Tribal Property. These unlawful actions have disrupted Tribal operations.
To continue required work on the Peaceful Transition of Power Between Tribal Councils and to protect Tribal operations, Tribal facilities, and the business affairs of the Tribe, all Tribal Offices are closed to non-essential personnel and the public effective immediately.
During the closure, Tribal Administration anticipates a full financial review that may cause short term fiscal delays. It is expected that the Tribe will reopen Monday July 21, 2025, unless security concerns require otherwise. The only exemptions to the Tribal Administrative closures; are positions working with Tribal Member youth.
